Here at Rhythm Circus, we’ll never forgive ourselves for discovering The Family Rain two Singles too late, but an eternity of guilt aside, their latest in a string of disgustingly sexy rock n roll singles comes in the form of Pushing It. Their label calls it “A direct, thrilling work of a band fast affirming themselves as one of the most exciting to emerge from the UK in years.” We just prefer to call it fucking ace.
Produced by Jim Abbiss (Peace, Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian) and recorded at Hansa Studios in Berlin. Pushing It is the first taste of the band’s album sessions and follows on smoothly from Trust Me. I’m A Genius, and Carnival, which were released on the Bigger Splash label.
Fresh from an extensive run across the UK and Europe with Willy Moon, The Family Rain will be playing with Deap Vally at The Scala on May 22nd, The Rolling Stones at Hyde Park on Saturday 13th July, as well as embarking on their first headline tour proper in the UK in May. The band have will also be playing a bunch of UK festivals this Summer, so keep your eyes peeled. Check out the video for Pushing It below.
