Eurogamer Expo, the UK’s largest gaming event, is even bigger this year as it moves to Earls Court to accommodate the sheer volume of games available to play. The Expo will now be able to host thousands of extra gamers, keen to get some hands on time with some of the biggest hits before they launch. The move in venue doubles the floor space and screens available, enhancing the experience and doing justice to the world-class titles on show.
These games include some of the biggest titles out this Christmas, and are all available to play at the Expo, including Battlefield 3, FIFA 12 , Mass Effect 3, Need for Speed: The Run, and Star Wars: The Old Republic from Electronic Arts, Uncharted 3 and Resistance 3 from Sony, Ace Combat: Assault Horizon, Inversion, Ridge Racer Unbounded, Dark Souls, and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 from Namco Bandai Games, Final Fantasy XIII-2 from Square Enix, Silent Hill: Downpour and Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 from Konami, Guild Wars 2 from NC Soft, Ninja Gaiden 3 from Tecmo Koei, and Rage from Bethesda.
Also recently announced is a raft of THQ titles including the Saints Row: The Third, WWE 12 and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – three of this year’s biggest releases –all playable for attendees on the show floor. THQ will also be supporting the Eurogamer Developer Sessions, with a further announcement expected in the coming weeks.
Rupert Loman, Managing Director of Eurogamer, said: “We knew from last year’s show that the 2011 Expo was going to be big, but it’s already exceeded all expectations – and the announcements keep coming! Just looking at the calibre of this year’s games, everyone is going to have a great time”.
The Eurogamer Expo takes place at London’s Earls Court between 22nd and 25th September and is set to attract 30,000 gamers (up on last year’s 20,000 attendees). Now in its fourth year, and with an extra day added, it looks like this year the Eurogamer Expo will be the UK’s biggest gaming event to date.
