Sixteen year old Ellie Mitchell first started getting into photography by watching programmes like America’s Next Top Model, and reading magazines such as Elle, Vogue and Cosmo. Currently studying Photography and Media at Paston Sixth Form, Ellie finds inspiration in high fashion and couture:
“It makes it seem like a whole new world you’re photographing because it’s all so out of the ordinary, it never fails to excite me to see that a designer has launched a new range which means new pictures to advertise it!” she explains.
For the future, Ellie aims to shoot freelance for fashion houses, or become an editorial photographer collaborating with the high fashion magazines like Vogue, Vanity Fair and Elle. Currently tooled up with a Canon 5D Mark II and a 24-105mm lens, Ellie also uses full studio lighting kit including soft boxes, gels and umbrellas and all other studio accompaniments.
