Charlotte Lipscombe

December 10th, 2011

Following on from her love of art, Nineteen year old Norwich local Charlotte Lipscombe started taking photography seriously around four years ago.

Currently in her 2nd year of a BA Photography course at NUCA in Norwich, Charlotte finds inspiration in photographer like Keith Arnett, Nobuyoshi Araki and Nan Goldin:

“There’s something so intimate about their work and when I look at it, it feels like I’m part of what they do in a weird way. You kind of forget that there’s a photographer present when you look at their photos because they’re so raw and honest. You almost become one of their loved ones when you look at their photographs, like you’re close enough to them to be sharing their photos with you.
People in general fascinate me, whether they are people I know or interesting faces I see in the street. My favourite things to photograph are mainly people and animals.”

Charlotte is still deciding what direction she’d like to move in with my photography, and currently working on her official website.
In the mean time, you can see more of Charlottes work here: CHARLOTTE LIPSCOMBE
